Knowledgeathon

Every year our school holds a Knowledgeathon, which is made up of 100 general knowledge questions. There are 10 categories, each containing 10 questions. 
This year our categories are: Aotearoa, Science world, sports, animals, around the world, the arts, your body, famous personalities, a bit of this and that and local history. 
Each student has to raise money which will go towards new computers. 
Over the past few years the money went towards our new playground, and also the BOB GRANT THEATRE which was added onto the back of the hall. 
This year we are trying to make $10,000 dollars. Each student has to raise a minimum of $10.00. Spot prizes will be given to students who raise more money. The spot prizes include: Movie tickets, torches, books and family dinner vouchers. 
The class who earns the most money gets an extra 1/2 hour lunch time and also the class that gets the most 100/100 will also get another get a 1//2 hour. 

We have been practicing in our class, we learn 1 category each day.
